Badge Lanyard Options
If you have one piece plastic ID badges as shown to the right, you can use a plastic ID badge strap to attach the lanyard clip to the badge. This also allows for easy removal of the badge, if needed, and because of the snap fastner, you can put a key ring with your desk key or hang a usb drive behind your badge for safekeeping while away from your desk.
The next picture shows a lanyard typical of the ones given away at conventions. It's actually much nicer than the one I got at work which has a simple, white plastic latch at the end of what looks like a black athletic shoestring.
The following picture shows the badge attached to a jewelry style beaded badge lanyard that I made.
If you need a retractor on your badge because you need to swipe it past or through a badge reader, you can hook the retractor through a ring and then clip the large lobster claw clasp at the end of the beaded badge lanyard to the ring, as shown in the picture at the bottom right.
